Eating That Kills Your Moments, Not The Rabbit!

If you've ever thought about writing an obituary for your sex drive and your chosen title was going to be "Death By Food", look no further....

Indeed, you could easily do a quick search online to find foods that may lower your testosterone or libido. Those so called "anaphrodisiacs" may or may not have a less than desirable impact on your bedroom activities. Foods and their chemical compositions may have a negative impact on one person's body and sexual performance while having no negative impact on others. The results can vary from person to person and trial and error is usually the doctrine to go by. There are, however, certain foods that tend to have a consistent impact on the average person and as with everything in life, a little common knowledge may help you avoid an embarrassingly ackward situation.

If some of your favorite meals include fried foods, these tasty gems usually come with a boatload of saturated fats. For those of you not in the know, saturated fats tend to boost your weight line, clog your arteries and reduce blood flow, all of which can lead to erectile dysfunction. In addition, gaining weight can lead to various breathing problems and we all know, check that... most of us know..... ok, ok... some of us know that proper breathing is essential for a good Bunny Up Moment!

Testosterone can have an impact on the libido of both men and women and as such, there are certain foods high in polyunsaturated fats that tend to reduce testosterone levels. A number of plant-based oils such as soybean oil, corn oil and sunflower oil are high in polyunsaturated fats as well as fatty fish like salmon, mackeral, herring and trout.

Salt and foods high in salt (sodium) can lead to high blood pressure, decrease blood circulation and sink your libido to unfovorable levels. For men, decreased blood circulation is the exact opposite of what you want for a fulfilling erection! If you or your partner tends to shower your food with the salt shaker at every meal, you may wish to reconsider your salt intake for a better roll in the hay.

Alcohol may be considered by many as "courage in a bottle", which could temporarily increase your odds of a Bunny Up Moment later in the evening, but it has it's downfalls as well. To begin with, heavy drinking can lead to lower testosterone levels and higher estrogen levels. This combination can negatively effect your libido. In addition, heavy drinking might make that potential partner on the other side of the bar a bit more attractive at two thirty-seven in the morning, but alcohol also impairs judgement and limiting your alcohol intake might save you from a WTF moment when the sun rises in the morning. If you've ever had the experience of waking up in a strange place with an unfamiliar person laying next to you and a burning desire to gnaw your arm off in an effor to quickly get away, you know what I mean!

While we are on the topic of drinks, alcohol is a depressant and who needs that when you are trying to be positive about future Bunny Up Moments? Too much alcohol can make you sleepy, beer and soda can make you bloated from the carbonation and once you've hit the restroom for a pit stop, you will be back over and over again!

Broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts and some beans all contain a type of sugar that comes with a little unwelcome side effect. Your body needs methane-releasing bacteria to digest them and the last thing you need during a Bunny Up Moment is gas! If you or your honey is planning a moment in the near future, try switching to a healthy salad and save the chemical warfare for another day when you are angry with your honey!

Breads and pasta can also cause a problem in the bedroom by making you feel excessively full. Those sweet rolls might taste absolutely wonderful during dinner, but watch your intake. If you stuff yourself with any food you may live to regret it, but that extra slice of pizza might be the difference between a happy ending and an early retirement for your night.
